The MvG Signature Edition SP is the first release of tour-specific darts from three-time world champion Michael van Gerwen, featuring Winmau Switch Point technology. These darts aren't just inspired by Michael – they precisely match the specifications he uses on the professional tour. Crafted from 90% tungsten, with a parallel barrel profile, and now equipped with the Point system, you can replicate his setup without being limited to a single pointing style.
90% tungsten barrels with shot blast coating and atom grip
The barrels are made of 90% tungsten and feature a parallel profile developed to MvG's specifications. The Shot Blast coating gives the barrel a grippy, textured surface, while the Atom Grip—a precision-milled pattern in the contact zones—ensures consistent finger placement and a clean release. Shot Blast and Atom Grip work together: the coating creates surface friction, and the grip pattern guides your hold. This combination is what makes the throw feel truly stable and controlled, rather than just textured.
28mm Smooth Silver Switch Points - universally compatible
Each set is equipped with 28mm Smooth Silver Winmau Switch points, MvG's competition-specific point setup. The barrel utilizes a thread technology that is universally compatible with Target Swiss points, Harrows Quick points, and Caliburn Evo EZ points. This means you can change point length, finish, or style across four major systems without swapping barrels—a real flexibility advantage for players experimenting with their setup or competing in varying conditions.

Fliegt ruhig, greift sich eher mittig
Der Barrel könnte für meinen Geschmack etwas mehr Halt geben, da merke ich schon, dass er nicht ganz so markant in der Hand liegt. Dafür fliegt der Dart sehr ruhig und stabil, was beim Werfen sofort ein gutes Gefühl macht. Das Gewicht wirkt dabei angenehm ausbalanciert, also genau die Art von Steeldart, bei der ich mich nicht mehr groß mit dem Material beschäftige.

Super dart
Beim Barrel ist der Grip eher nur okay, da hätte ich etwas mehr Biss erwartet. Dafür fliegen die Darts sehr ruhig und präzise, und das Gewicht fühlt sich für mich perfekt ausbalanciert an. Sauber verarbeitet, angenehm im Wurf.

Liegen erstaunlich ruhig in der Luft
Und ja, genau das habe ich an diesen Darts zuerst bemerkt, sie fliegen sehr ruhig und wirken dabei schön ausbalanciert. Der Barrel gibt einen soliden Halt, auch wenn er sich für meinen Geschmack nicht extrem griffig anfühlt.Aber das habe ich bewusst so gewählt.
